Oh Christmas Tree.....Oh Christmas Tree

We had alot of fun this year decorating the Christmas trees.......yes that was trees, I'm not sure what I was thinking with Lucy, Zoie and Talmadge the constant grabbing, pulling, and breaking never seems to stop. I thought it would be a great idea to do my pretty tree upstairs (I always wanted a "pretty" tree) Then we would do the fun one downstairs and let the kids have there way with it. Well good idea until we realized A-I'm not always downstairs to monitor whats taking place and B-I can't escape the constant "no don't touch the tree" and having to physically remove Talmade all the time. Where ever we go he has to have the tree.
So far between my kids namely Talmadge, and some cousins only 6 bulbs have been broken so far, the bottom of the tree is really bare now.

Scott's beautiful bow tieing skills at making the tree topper, the tree was too big it wouldn't fit my angel so we had to emprovise, it didn't turn out to bad. We decided to go with black and silver ornaments with a touch of red, it was so pretty and it took 1300 lights, I kept having to go back to Ace Hardware and buy more while Scott was stringing them on. We had a great time doing the trees and getting Christmas set up around our house, it's so exciting the girls are old enough to be really excited and helpful.

I love Christmas and the smell of pine in my house.

I was going to have a "pretty tree" downstairs, but instead of a little boy to pull the ornaments off I have a POS dog that will ruin it. I sooooo wanted a real tree, but there is no way I will have one upstairs...too messy to clean up after (unless I just throw it over the balcony ;o)

I LOVE your tree...it's so cute. Love the black and silver too. and scott's bow-skills are just amazing! :-) I seriously love the smell too...don't you wish you could smell that all year round? I love real tree's! but it does kinda suck to water them everyday and then clean up the needles, but well worth it!

Your tree looks really pretty even if some things are missing on the lower third! Soon they will be grown up enough to not mess it up. Hopefully not grown up enough to not have the excitement. Christmas is so much fun with kids.....

It just isn't Christmas without a real tree. It's hard to find them here in Utah, but it's worth the price, whatever it is. Sometimes I miss Oregon!
