Tonsils

Oh my this picture does not do Lucy's "kissing tonsils" justice. They are so big. During Christmas time we all had strep throat, well I looked in all my kids throats and was astonished at what I saw in Lucy's mouth. I thought for sure she had strep as well. So we went to the doctor and to my knowledge they said she has kissing tonsils and you couldn't even see her boxing bag in the back of her throat, it's so weird. The specialist told us in most cases he would leave them in but she was the exception they were so big and she is so effected by her sleeping, and breathing that they needed to come out. So her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. as the week has progressed I have gotten more uptight and nervous about this. She had ear tubes put in so she has done anesthesia before but it's always nerve wracking no matter what. She is so strong and we are hoping for a quick and as painless as possible recovery. My heart really goes out to those parents and family members who have real serious health conditions and deal with these things on a regular basis we really have been blessed. On a lighter note my doctor asked if either Scott or I had ear tubes, or tonsils and adenoids removed. Of course Scott answered yes. The doctor said "don't you know your suppose to ask these things before you start producing children with them".........oh well they are all doomed I suppose.

They expect she will sleep more, have more energy, eat more, hear better, and perhaps learn better. Her body is focusing so much on getting enough oxygen to her brain that it could be affecting all these things, my mom has been telling me for years I needed to take her in to see a specialist because she snores so bad and breathes so loud that it was not normal. So we are hoping she feel better and things will change for her. Wish us luck

INSOMNIA

O.k. so this is the story of my life for about the last 2 weeks. I have been so stressed out that I have been not sleeping. Here it is 5 am and I'm laying awake in bed, so I decided to come blog loooosssseeeer. This is late for me this morning. The routine has been, I can actually fall asleep quick at night time, but when Talmadge wakes up in the middle of the night for a drink, I DO NOT fall back to sleep. Sometimes 2, 3, 4......I'm going crazy. Any suggestions. There is not enough caffine to keep me happy and going during the day.

Dancing Girls

These little girls are such a hoot. We have been doing dance since the beginning of the year, Lucy would go Monday afternoons and Thursday afternoons, Zoie would go Wednesday morning while Lucy was in school. It is alot of fun we dropped Lucy's Thursday class, it is so expensive she only wondered why she wasn't in the tap class for about a week then she was over it.
If your girls, and even boys love to dance, get them in classes they have so much fun, and really do learn the dance moves. This was there end of the year practice recital. They have a great big one coming up in May with all the foofy costumes at the Elsinore theatre and they are so excited. We got to watch with all the parents this practice recital, Zoie was not going up there for the life of her, Scott finally did some convincing with candy and I'm sure a date with dad and finally she joined the rest of the girls and did great. She is very graceful, and so serious when she is practicing.

Zoie was putting bells on her shoes so she jingled as she ran thru the middle of the room to jump over

Here is my little Lucy who is the dancing queen. She is the youngest in her class and by far knew all the moves the best and was the most graceful. Yes I am a proud mom. They got to wear makeup to this recital and Lucy's had to be "just perfect, like all the beautiful princess dancers". It's so amazing how fast they grow up.

She is so flexable as well and practices all the time at home, and tries to teach and boss her little sister around as to how to do the moves, and what they look like.

Last but not least the Sashay around the room. It was so much fun to watch and see what they have learned so far, I can't wait for the real deal in front of tons of people.

Noodle

So here is the newest edition to our family. I have a terrible addiction to puppies, Lets just say she is #4 puppy in the last 2 years that I have gotten. We have our beagle still who is a great dog, but I wanted an inside one and I'm allergic to them so, I finally found one I can have we named her noodle, and she is a Llasa Poo. She will only get to be about 12# so she will stay small, thank goodness. She is so stinky cute and of course the kids love her. Lucy can't focus on anything all day but the dog. Talmadge gets frustrated she follows him around bitting and playing with his ears.....if he would just walk he wouldn't have that problem :)
Sometimes I think what was I thinking it really is like having another child around. But she is a keeper this time, even Scott really likes her for being a tiny dog......you know how that goes most guys like big dogs.............. I love her.

Oh Christmas Tree.....Oh Christmas Tree

We had alot of fun this year decorating the Christmas trees.......yes that was trees, I'm not sure what I was thinking with Lucy, Zoie and Talmadge the constant grabbing, pulling, and breaking never seems to stop. I thought it would be a great idea to do my pretty tree upstairs (I always wanted a "pretty" tree) Then we would do the fun one downstairs and let the kids have there way with it. Well good idea until we realized A-I'm not always downstairs to monitor whats taking place and B-I can't escape the constant "no don't touch the tree" and having to physically remove Talmade all the time. Where ever we go he has to have the tree.
So far between my kids namely Talmadge, and some cousins only 6 bulbs have been broken so far, the bottom of the tree is really bare now.

Scott's beautiful bow tieing skills at making the tree topper, the tree was too big it wouldn't fit my angel so we had to emprovise, it didn't turn out to bad. We decided to go with black and silver ornaments with a touch of red, it was so pretty and it took 1300 lights, I kept having to go back to Ace Hardware and buy more while Scott was stringing them on. We had a great time doing the trees and getting Christmas set up around our house, it's so exciting the girls are old enough to be really excited and helpful.

I love Christmas and the smell of pine in my house.

Happy Late Birthday Zoie

So for those of you who thought I forgot this firecrackers birthday I did not. I have been so busy and just haven't gotten around to posting her pictures and her birthday fun.
Here she is in all her glory this girl threw up so much as a baby, I thought something was wrong with her, this is how she looked most of the time as a baby due to the projectile throwups.

Nope nothing has changed from this picture, this girl came out kicking and screaming and is still the very same today. She lets you know when she is happy and or mad, and has no problem letting you know these things. She is so funny and has such a great vocabulary it's hilarious to listen to her talk and the dialect she uses with her sister.
These two are best friends and I wouldn't have it any other way. The fighting sometimes triumphs the love but all in all they really are each others very best friends.

We are so glad that Zoie is part of our home, we have been blessed with such a sweet spirit and I'm so greatful to Heavely Father who has intrusted her to my care. I learn so much from her and she shows me such unconditional love, I want to be a better mother for my children so they can grow and learn to be charitable and more Christ like. Children truley are special spirits of our Father in Heaven. I love my kids!!!!!!!
Happy #3 Birthday Zoie
